During a Q&A session at the Hay Festival Querétaro on Sunday (September 8), bassist Colin Greenwood disclosed that the members of Radiohead had recently gathered together to play music. It has been six long years since Radiohead last played a concert together, and the band’s members are currently busy with a variety of different side projects, but news of the guys getting together to play music again is encouraging for their dedicated, patient fans. “We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs,” Greenwood revealed. “And it was really fun, had a really good time. We’re still talking all the time, we just need to make a plan and get some time together sorted out in advance.”

Greenwood is going to spend the next few months touring as a member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, filling in for bassist Martyn Casey. While Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood are releasing their latest album as The Smile, Cutouts, on October 4th, with Yorke also heading out on a rare solo tour later this year. Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien is also apparently working on a new solo album as well. (Consequence of Sound)
