On Thursday (September 26), Foo Fighters announced on Instagram that they will no longer be headlining this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The band was scheduled to perform on Sunday (September 29), and they released the following statement announcing their last-minute cancellation: “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.” Jack White has been announced as a replacement for the Foo Fighters.

The Soundside Festival was the only upcoming performance scheduled for the band, and the announcement of the Foos cancellation comes only two weeks after frontman Dave Grohl revealed that he had recently fathered a child outside of his marriage. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Grohl wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post back on September 10. (Variety)
